Christianity provides a relational list of resources that draws people today just as it did in the first century. Real spiritual relationships with “one-another’s” occur in a relational setting with five interwoven threads. We will look at these in this and the next four articles.
It is officially “count-down” time. The moment the red cranberry sauce is cleaned off the tablecloth and the effect of the tryptophan begins to wear off, Black Friday starts. And after Black Friday comes the ever present count-down of the days until Christmas. The paper chains that have one link removed each day by our kids so that we will feel the constant social pressure of Christmas.
We have been blessed by a great dog named Kactus who has been a part of our family for over 10 years. Not long ago we noticed a bump on her leg. The bump continued to grow so we took her to her vet who after some tests advised us to have it removed. We didn’t hesitate as we love her very much and she is an important part of our family.
In light of the Pope's visit and the media frenzy over his messages and speeches, it seems appropriate to ask where any homily, speech or interview spoke of the grace of God. He spoke of many things and church leaders were on all forms of media also speaking about economics, wealth, and the environment.
