On the last Friday of every month, a group of RTBC members go to the Star of Hope homeless Transitional Living Shelter to provide an evening snack to the residents. The ministry started as a way to get RTBC families involved and teach our children how they can help others in need. The number of people we serve changes each month but it can be up to 80, most of whom are children.
Starting in March (March 27), we are adding a game night so we can have more interaction with the residents. This would happen after we serve snacks. We plan to arrive at the shelter at 6:30pm to set up; the residents would come by the dining area at 6:45 and everything would be done by 8:30pm.
If you want to help or want more information please talk to Ana Ayala or Alma Lopez. We accept cookies and monetary donations. For game night, we need board games and if you have any board games to donate, please bring them to the church office.
