We meet on Saturdays at 10:00 AM to carry out God's will and bring glory to His name by attending to the spiritual and physical needs of Houston's homeless by praying with them and distributing care packages and bags of water bottles.

On months that have five Sundays, on the fifth Sunday we carry out our ministry as part of the Sunday worship, and use the immediately preceding Saturday to assemble our care packages.

Each care package we distribute contains:

  • One one-gallon Ziploc freezer bag
  • One Scripture Verse Card, which contains a hand-written verse from the Bible
  • Two pairs of socks
  • Two food bars
  • One pack of antiseptic wipes
  • One bottle of water
  • One travel-style toothbrush and travel-size toothpaste
  • Five adhesive bandages
  • One travel-size bottle of sunscreen
  • Two travel-size bars of soap
  • One stick of lip balm
  • One map of local homeless shelters and resources for the homeless

We would be excited to have you join us in going to where the homeless live to pray and distribute supplies.

We would also be excited for you to join in our other activities, which include the assembly of care packages and creation of Scripture verse cards.

We would also be thankful for your prayers, both for the homeless and for our ministry. Please contact us if you would like to help or to join the mailing list.

Blank Scripture verse cards can be found on the table outside the church office next to a box for completed Scripture verse cards. Everyone is welcome to take some cards to write Bible verses on so that we can include them in care packages. We encourage you to choose which verses to write through prayer and discernment.
